FASTBRACES®

WHAT IS FASTBRACES?
Fastbraces are a form of orthodontic technology that work to straighten your teeth faster than traditional braces.
First, brackets similar to traditional braces are fastened to the outer-facing side of your teeth. These brackets are fixed with a strong dental adhesive and wires to apply pressure to your teeth.
Once the brackets are fixed to your teeth, a series of treatment sessions follow. During these sessions, sometimes, advanced subsonic wave and phototherapy methods are applied to help in the acceleration of teeth movement towards their final position. These treatments are an essential part of Fastbraces, as they allow the pressure from the braces to move the teeth with less effort in a short period of time.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR FASTBRACES?
Orthodontic treatment can be indicated and performed on patients of all ages and not just teenagers. Optimum time saving and faster treatment timelines, however, are achieved in pre-teens and teenagers because their jawbones are still developing and growing. Fastbraces are usually indicated to correct misaligned teeth.

HOW DO FASTBRACES WORK?
The combination of advanced orthodontic appliance design and supplementary therapy works together to target the dental arches of your mouth that hold your teeth together. The cells that are responsible for bone reabsorption and new bone formation are stimulated. These are called osteoclasts and osteoblasts. When these cells are stimulated, the bone in the affected area of the dental arches will change shape faster, shortening the time needed to complete repositioning of the teeth. Fastbraces encourage the teeth to move in a safer manner, with much less friction than traditional braces. Results can often be seen within a matter of days.
